New feature available on the legavolley.it website, available to enthusiasts, professionals and fans. From today, in fact, in the very rich and always updated “Statistic Curiosities” section, it will be possible to view the “most played matches” ever in the history of Serie A Credem Banca. A real ranking of the teams that have challenged each other several times in the history of Italian volleyball, with the possibility of distinguishing between SuperLega, Serie A2 and Serie A3 and also to include all the times in which Italian volleyball was the protagonist on an international level.

Considering the ranking of the most played matches ever between Serie A teams, including international ones, the most present club is certainly Modena, given its long volleyball tradition and the long history of the club. The Emilian team occupies 6 of the top 7 positions, including the top 4: Modena – Lube and Modena – Padova are the clubs to have faced each other the most times, 111 and 110 times respectively. A fresh record, that of the clash between the Emilians and the Marches, recently updated with challenge no. 111 a few days ago (Sunday 9 February 2025) but which, ironically, will be “reached” at 111 this weekend with the scheduled match between Valsa Group Modena and Sonepar Padova.

Continuing to scroll through the rankings, the first match that does not involve Modena is in fifth place, and is now a super challenge for modern volleyball: Trento and Lube have in fact faced each other 102 times.
