Emma Villas Siena’s 2025 will begin with the big match against league leaders Ravenna. The race will be played on Epiphany day, January 6, at PalaEstra starting from 5.30 pm.

The Sienese, fresh from three consecutive successes which allowed them to reach fifth position in the standings with 25 points, will therefore face one of the favorites to win the championship. Consar is the team of former Sienese Copelli and Tallone, a team that has won six consecutive victories including the successes obtained against Cuneo and Catania. Ravenna is first in the standings with 33 points, the same as Brescia and Prata di Pordenone but compared to Lombardy and Tinet it boasts one more victory, 12 against 11.

Against Reggio Emilia the Ravenna team achieved a clear 3-0 victory, closing the match in an hour and twenty minutes of play: Guzzo scored 14 points, 10 each from Copelli and Tallone.

It will therefore be a challenge between two teams who are experiencing good form. The Sienese have gained position after position in the standings thanks to the three victories in a row they have just achieved: against Reggio Emilia, in Aversa and finally at home against Pineto. Three victories that allowed coach Gianluca Graziosi’s team to end 2024 well; now the goal is to start 2025 even better.
