The club’s vice president Fabio Mechini took stock of the situation after the team’s victory away to Cuneo. The next match in the championship for the Sienese team will be on Sunday, again away, in Porto Viro; the match, valid for the seventh return day of the A2 series championship, will kick off at 4pm.
The Sienese team is carrying out a double training session today. After the victory achieved in Cuneo, Emma Villas Siena is eighth in the standings with 28 points, three points behind Pineto who occupies seventh position. Porto Viro, the white and blue team’s next opponent, is in ninth position with 22 points.
From today, Japanese spiker Soma Masumoto, born in 2004, will also train with the team. He arrives in Siena thanks to a collaboration agreement between Legavolley and Japanese universities. Masumoto will remain in Siena for forty days during which he will train with the Sienese team, but he will not be able to be registered to play in the championship.
