One victory and two defeats for Vidya Viridex Sabaudia in the second round of the A3 men’s volleyball championship. The start of the second part of the season for Sabaudia began with the home victory against Ortona (3-0) but also with the last two consecutive defeats: at the Pala Siani in Naples against Gaia Energy (3-0) and at home with Lagonegro (0-3). Only three points unlike at the beginning of the season, which with the same opponents brought six points in the same matches with reversed pitches: in terms of numbers it was more stingy for coach Nello Mosca’s team who has always constantly preached calm and attention to the great difficulty of the A3 series championship.
«Our salvation certainly does not depend on the match against Lagonegro but crucial direct clashes will come soon in which we will have to know how to give our best, approach them in the best way to try to get important points – explains coach Nello Mosca – against Lagonegro we played a good first set that we could have taken home if we hadn’t made trivial errors, we beat well and had a decent ball exchange, then in some situations where we should have done better we weren’t able to do well and the match got complicated. Against a higher level team we struggled to stay on top of the score: we still regret not being able to do better in the first set, then during the match we managed to stay in the wake of our opponents, except in the third set where we gave up and I believe that that type of attitude shouldn’t exist in our team.”
