Cucine Lube Civitanova suffers in the fourth set but manages to take home the victory, playing in Holland against Groningen, they beat their Dutch rivals 3-1 in the match valid for the first leg of the Quarter Finals. After the victory of the first set by Civitanova and the second set by Groningen, the Cucinari managed to get to 2-1, but suffered more than necessary in the fourth set, with Giampaolo Medei’s team forced to cancel three set points to realize the second overall match ball. MVP and top scorer of the match Dirlic (21 points), Nikolov (20 points for the Bulgarian) and Loeppky (13 points) also scored double figures for Lube. The return leg is set for Wednesday 29 January, where captain Balaso and his teammates will have to win two sets to go through, or alternatively play their cards in the Golden Set. First, however, the big match at the Eurosuole Forum between Civitanova and Perugia, valid for the 6th return day of the SuperLega Credem Banca and, to follow, the Final Four Del Monte® Coppa Italia, scheduled in Bologna on 25 and 26 January.
