“Rinascita Volley Lagonegro has built a path over the years to bring together as many fans as possible not only in the Lagonegro area, we are making it everyone’s team and it is our pride”, is a beaming Nicola Carlomagno. And happy to have an enviable creature in his hands. Speaking live on the Lucanian broadcaster Radio Città TV on the evening of Tuesday 4 February, the President of the red and white club spoke in 360 degrees about the present and future of his team. Which no longer belongs solely and exclusively to Lagonegro: “It’s nice to know that we are followed throughout the province of Potenza and beyond, and this has always been one of our objectives”.

Pressed by questions from the journalists in the studio, the president draws up a balance sheet a few games before the end of the regular season: “The team was built to stay in the upper areas of the table and to arrive in the best possible position with a view to the playoffs. We had a very difficult period at the beginning of the season from which we emerged by making inevitable changes during the course: we recovered very well and climbed the table up to the current fourth place, it will be important to maintain the position at the end of the regular season”.

There is also a passage on Villa d’Agri, home to the home matches, and on the age-old issue of the Lagonegro indoor stadium, whose work is currently blocked: “The community responded very well, first and foremost the municipal administration which made itself available from day one to grant us the stadium, a real gem for the area.
