It’s playoff time. Emma Villas Siena will be playing on Sunday afternoon, starting at 6:00 p.m., at the PalaCosta in Ravenna for game 1 of the quarterfinals against the local team. Siena finished sixth at the end of the regular season, while Ravenna finished third. The series will be played as the best of three matches: whoever wins two matches will qualify for the semifinals.

“We have finally arrived at the decisive moment of the season – says the Emma Villas Siena center, Stefano Trillini. – This is also the most fun phase, since we go to play the matches that matter most. We arrive with great momentum, we finished the regular season very well with eight consecutive victories. So I’m happy with what we’ve done so far, now we will have to further raise our attention and intensity to face these matches”.

Trillini continues: “Ravenna is a very strong team and certainly well equipped to do well – is the comment of the Emma Villas Siena center. – There are former teammates of ours that we know very well. In the championship they won both matches against us, in the playoffs it could be a different game. They are certainly a strong and prepared team. However, we are doing well, our game is good and we have grown a lot during the season. Playing well makes it easier to get to victory. Against Ravenna we will have to raise our level even more and give life to a super performance”.
