During yesterday’s match between Sir Susa Vim Perugia and Itas Trentino, in the most excited phases of the tie-break, the player Oleh Plotnytskyi suffered, during the attack phase, a sudden pain in the posterior region of the right thigh, for which he was forced to abandon the field.
The medical evaluations carried out immediately did not bode well and in the late afternoon of today the player underwent an initial MRI which highlighted a lesion in the right hamstring muscle.
The medical and physiotherapy staff of the company, led by the medical director, Dr. Giuseppe Sabatino, after the evaluation of the orthopedic colleagues, directed by the Professor. Auro Caraffa, at the moment believes it is premature to hypothesize with precision the recovery times, which will be better defined and communicated in relation to the clinical and instrumental re-evaluations to which the player will be subjected in the next 48/72 hours and which will allow us to better define the picture from quantitative point of view.
Meanwhile, the dedicated therapeutic program has already begun.
As for player Yuki Ishikawa, the evaluations only highlighted a problem related to muscle cramps.
