Cesare Pellegrino, sporting director of Domotek Volley Reggio Calabria, comments on the victory against Energy Time Spike Campobasso, underlining the importance of having found the right rhythm after the Cup defeat suffered a few hours earlier on the Ortona teraflex.
A much needed victory:
“We needed this victory”, begins Pellegrino. “We erased Ortona’s performance immediately and forcefully and we are confident for the continuation of the championship.”
Domotek rhythm found again:
Pellegrino underlines the importance of having found the right rhythm. “The rhythm of Domotek is the same as the first two sets,” he says. “In the third set Campobasso risked everything, but we did well to close out the match.”
Soncini, a guarantee:
Pellegrino praises the performance of Marco Soncini, who replaced the injured Zappoli. “Marco is a guarantee,” he says. “He gives us solidity in reception and defense, a great player fully integrated into a splendid team that knows how to fight and play volleyball.”
Feeling of control:
Pellegrino reveals that he always had the feeling of having the game in hand. “We didn’t suffer that much,” he admits. “The important thing was to get back into the rhythm and bring home a success that makes us fly even higher in the rankings.”
Now head to Naples, it will be played on Sunday 19 January at 6pm:
Pellegrino looks forward to the next match against Napoli. “We have another busy week ahead of us,” he says. “We have recovered all our personnel and are ready to face this second part of the championship with the right attitude.”
