2025 opens with what coach Michele Totire defines as “The most important match in the history of the club”. On Wednesday 8 January at 8.30pm, in fact, for the first time in its history La Bollente Volleyball will play the quarter-finals of the A3 Italian Cup at the home of Belluno Volley. The two teams concluded the first round with the same number of points, 19, one less than the leaders San Donà but due to the set ratio the Venetians had access to the Italian Cup scoreboard as second in the standings and, therefore, won the chance to play the quarter-finals at home.
The Italian Cup formula, in fact, provides that: “The top four teams in each group at the end of the first round meet in the quarter-finals in a single match, at the home of the club with the best ranking. The winning teams in the Quarterfinals then meet in the Semifinal. The formula foresees either the Semi-finals and Final (29 January and 23 February in a single match at the home of the Club with the best ranking), or the Final Four (22-23 February) if one of the semi-finalist teams proposes itself by 20 January as organizer”
