Comeback mission for Cucine Lube Civitanova who, at 8:30 pm tomorrow, Wednesday 19 February, will be on stage at the Eurosuole Forum for the return leg of the Challenge Cup Final, the last and decisive act of the competition, on the evening that will see one between Civitanova and Bogdanka LUK Lublin, the cooks’ opponent, raise the trophy to the sky. The first leg, in fact, ended 3 to 1 in favor of the club coached by Massimo Botti, who won in four sets at home: for Lube, the victory of the trophy would come if Giampaolo Medei’s team were to win 3-0 or 3-1, and then also triumph in the Golden Set. In this way, the celebration of the Marche team will start at the end of the final whistle; other possible combinations of results, however, would reward Wilfredo Leon’s team (MVP in the first leg).
Cucine Lube Civitanova is hunting for the seventh continental trophy, the second Challenge Cup in the history of the team from the Marche. Two players already have a victory in the European event in their trophy cabinet: Marko Podrascanin and Santiago Orduna.
