Marcello Mattioli, born in Reggio Emilia in 1982, is the new coach of Sarlux Sarroch.
Assistant to Vincenzo Mastrangelo in Reggio Emilia in the “double” season (winning the Championship and Italian Cup in A2), last season he was called up by Wimore Salsomaggiore during the championship in progress.
“I am honored by Sarroch’s call, I didn’t hesitate for a moment before accepting and setting off. I was welcomed in a wonderful way and put in a position to work well from the first training session. The kids are strong and helpful, as are the staff. I’m really happy to work with this group, now all we have to do is play volleyball. Two really tough away matches await us, we have to work, think about playing good volleyball, improving day by day and doing our best which in my opinion is a lot. Now it’s time to work and all row in the same direction.”
