Hristo Zlatanov, General Manager of Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza, was among the award recipients at the Gran Galà dello Sport “Città di Castiglion Fiorentino” now in its eighth edition. He received the award dedicated to volleyball named after Vigor Bovolenta. Federica Lisi, Vigor’s wife, was present at the evening.
In the evocative location of the Teatro Mario Spina, packed for an evening celebrating ethical values and sporting achievements, sporting legends, exemplary athletes and promising youngsters took turns representing various sporting activities. Ten were the award recipients.
The Gran Galà dello Sport was created to keep alive the memory of two great Castiglione athletes, Corrado Viciani and Fabrizio Meoni. Along with the two awards named after them, one for football and one for motorcycling, eight other special awards were given, named after as many unforgettable champions and personalities of the sport, including, for volleyball, “Vigor Bovolenta” awarded to Hristo Zlatanov. And the General Manager of Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza brought the values of Vigor Bovolenta, an icon of Italian volleyball, to the stage.
A gala evening that saw the theater packed in every seat, with institutional and sports figures, all united in applauding the champions who have honored the tricolor in various disciplines.
