Farewell to a 2024 destined to remain forever imprinted in the memory of all Belluno Volleyball: from the top management to the technicians, from the athletes to the fans and simple enthusiasts. Because, in A3, the club chaired by Sandro Da Rold had never reached the levels reached in the last twelve months. And the reference is not only to the playoff semi-finals, experienced in the spring. To understand the quality of the work carried out last calendar year, it is worth focusing on the numbers. Starting with the victories: 20. And it is a figure that represents a record in the recent history of Belluno Volleyball.
The twenty affirmations were made over the course of 28 matches: nine times, the blue and whites rejoiced in the second half of the regular season linked to the 2023-2024 season. And for another six in the current one. In between, the five victories (in seven games) in the playoffs: from the double hurray in the rounds with Acqui Terme (round of 16) and Palmi (quarter-finals) to the 3-1 achieved in game 2 of the semi-final against Fano.
Happiest performance in service? It dates back to February 25th and a victory against Monge Gerbaudo Savigliano (3-1), ennobled by ten aces. For the record of blocks, however, you have to rewind the tape to November 23rd, when Belluno Volley managed to send something like 22 balls back into the Sarlux Sarroch half of the field. And Matteo Mozzato created seven walls.
At an individual level, the record for points in a single match belongs to Riccardo Mian: 23 during the face-to-face match on November 17th against The Begin Ancona. And the “ace men”?
