Volleyball in Taranto does not stop.
After a difficult season and a relegation that could have put an end to a cycle, Gioiella Prisma Taranto, with the Presidency, its staff and its sponsor partners, instead choose to look forward. It was not a given. It was not easy. In a territory where high-level sport is often a challenge against the wind, the decision to continue the path is the strongest signal we could give: Taranto is here, Taranto volleyball is here.
The determination of the Presidency, with Tonio Bongiovanni and Elisabetta Zelatore, made the difference. The desire to continue investing in a serious sports project, which gives value to the city and its passion for volleyball, was stronger than any difficulty.
Statement by President Tonio Bongiovanni:
“We have thought long and hard about the future of the Prisma project and the possibility of stopping. But looking into the eyes of those who work every day for this company, always supported with determination by the companies that work with us and their representatives, those who cheered for us until the last match, those who believed in us even in the most difficult moments, we understood that it was not the time to give up. We will be a team that fights, that dreams, that never gives up. We will still be here, for this dream and for this shirt. With renewed determination, we start again to build something important again.”
