Smartsystem Essence Hotels Fano wants to get points again.
After two consecutive stops the Virtussini are looking for redemption and on Sunday (4pm) they will try to return to success by hosting Abba Pineto from Abruzzo.
The team coached by Di Tommaso, who won 3-0 in the first leg, is sailing in slightly better waters than the Fano team (26 points against 22) and would like to give a decisive boost to their season. For its part, Fano, which in its last two home matches was defeated by Ravenna and Cantù, wants to return to making its fans rejoice: “We want to make up for the defeat of the first leg – says center back Alessandro Acuti – a match well approached but not continued on the right tracks. We are excited after the good work done during the week and we will have to push hard to have the right mental approach.”
The two consecutive lost matches left some indications: “Certainly – continues the former Siena player – we must return to beating effectively and manage certain moments of the match better”.
The Abruzzo team are returning from a 3-1 win in Porto Viro with the Finnish Kaislasalo a great protagonist in attack (32 points with 62%), but it’s not just him. Catone will be the director, the squad will play Di Silvestre and the Brazilian Baesso, central defenders Presta-Zamagni, libero Morazzini. A quality team therefore who, especially in their home games, collected an important haul of points.
Fano has recovered both Roberti and Coscione who, already in Cuneo, played the entire match and will have to push in all the fundamentals if they want to bring home the three points, which are fundamental in terms of survival.
