Cisterna Volley’s 2025 opens with a prestigious commitment: on Sunday 5 January, at 6.30 pm, the Italian Champions Sir Susa Vim Perugia will arrive at the Palasport in Viale delle Provincie for the fourth official match between the two clubs. The match, valid for the fourth day of return, will also be the first of two home games, with the Pontini team returning to their home stadium two weeks later.

THE CHAMPIONSHIP – Sir Susa Vim Perugia, led by coach Lorenzetti, is enjoying an impeccable season. Undefeated since the start of the year, it confidently won the title of Winter Champion and reached the semi-finals of the Del Monte Italian Cup with a clear victory over Valsa Group Modena. The Umbrians conceded only 13 sets in the 55 played in the Super League, totaling 950 points overall. In the last two matches, both against Modena between the championship and the Cup, there were as many 3-0 victories.

THE TEAM – Coach Lorenzetti was able to enhance the entire roster, obtaining excellent performances even from the less employed players. Wassim Ben Tara and Oleh Plotnytskyi lead the scoring, with 188 and 184 points respectively, while captain Simone Giannelli stands out as a director and scorer, with 68 personal points, including 15 aces and 22 blocks. The assistant setter Francesco Zoppellari also made a significant contribution, demonstrating reliability on the occasions in which he was deployed. Kamil Semeniuk confirms himself as the leader on serve with 17 aces, while Ben Tara excels on the block with 25 points.
