Emma Villas Siena was this morning in the Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery departments of the Scotte hospital in Siena. Representing the Sienese club were the opposite Gabriele Nelli, the spikers Claudio Cattaneo and Matteo Alpini, the central Victorio Ceban, and the vice-president Fabio Mechini.
The volleyball players of the Siena team visited the children hospitalized in the city hospital and also brought them some gifts: notebooks, pencils and markers provided by the International School of Siena and then photos of the team. They also brought their greetings and smiles to girls and boys who are experiencing difficult times.
The little ones were very happy to see the players of the Siena volleyball team and asked questions about their sporting activity. It was a beautiful moment of closeness, as always happens when sport opens up to the social context, even more so when it happens towards fragile and difficult people.
