As in the last weekend of 2024, also in the first weekend of 2025 the Serie A3 Credem Banca will only see the Blue Group at work, dealing with the third day of return, a round that precedes the quarter-finals of the Del Monte® Coppa Italia A3, scheduled for 7 and 8 January. First signs of slowing down for league leaders Romeo Sorrento (31 points), fresh from their second defeat in the last three games after an immaculate run, especially against a direct rival, Sieco Service Ortona (24 points). Domotek Reggio Calabria (27 points), ready to observe a round of rest, is back from a fruitful match, won in four sets in the den of Rinascita Lagonegro and useful to consolidate second place. The first change of the year comes from Salento, where coach Antonio Cavalera’s adventure on the bench of Aurispa Links for his life in Lecce ended. In his place, Giuseppe Ambrosio, assistant coach in Brianza in the first team of the Vero Volley Monza consortium, takes the reins of the Apulian collective.
The matches of the 3rd round after the halfway point are distributed between 4 and 5 January. To inaugurate the new calendar year in Serie A3 are the matches on Saturday with the first match at 6.00 pm: EnergyTime Campobasso – BCC Tecbus Castellana Grotte and
Vidya Viridex Sabaudia – Rebirth of Lagonegro. The calendar offers the other three matches on Sunday. Kick-off at 4pm for Avimecc Modica – Gaia Energy Napoli and Romeo Sorrento – Aurispa Links for life Lecce.
