After Belluno and Mantua, the triptych of challenges against the direct competitors for the top ends with the very difficult trip to San Donà di Piave, leaders.
After beating and overtaking Belluno, now one point below at 28, and Mantua, four points below at 25, for Negrini CTE, with 29 points to their credit, it is time to challenge the only team in the group currently further ahead in the standings, which leads with 32. The Venetian team suffered their first defeat of the season at the expense of the spa team, then, after another defeat only at home against Mantova. For the Acqui team, however, after a first part of the season with an alternation of convincing performances at home and disappointing ones away, they seem to have found stability in the last few matches.
Captain Iacopo Botto comments: “We are growing, like all the championship teams. We have found the continuity we were missing but the journey is still long. We will face the strongest team in the championship, leading from the first day. We will go with a knife between our teeth between two teams who are working very well. I hope it’s a good match.”
