Bassanese Alberto Polo will be available to the black and white team for the 5th place play off and will be part of the Sonepar Padova roster for the next SuperLega 2025_26 season. The middle blocker, born in 1995, returns to wear the Padua jersey after a four-year break, ready to give his contribution in the shadow of the Saint. Polo grew up in the Bassano youth team before joining the Trentino Volley youth team in 2012. In the 2014_15 season he played in Potenza Picena in A2, in the following season he wore the Porto Robur Costo di Ravenna jersey in SuperLega and then the Molfetta jersey. From 2017 to 2020 he defended the colors of Padua for three seasons, before moving to Piacenza in the 2020_21 championship. He also represented Italy in international competitions, winning bronze with the Under 23 National Team in 2015 and making his debut with the senior National Team at the XVIII Mediterranean Games in the same year. Alberto Polo said he was excited and determined for this new phase of his sporting career: “I knew that sooner or later the end of the disqualification would come, but I didn’t think I would have the chance to play already in this last phase of the championship. In my head I was already prepared to start again next season, so I’m a little nervous, but also very curious and stimulated. I have always lived well in Padua, I have many friends and I have maintained relationships with many people. I have a small regret for the last season lived here, interrupted due to Covid, because in my opinion we had a strong team and we could have taken some great satisfactions.
