Gaia Energy Napoli was defeated in the survival clash in Modica, the Sicilian team prevailed 3-1 (25-23;16-25;29-27;25-19).
“It was a match made up of episodes – began Coach Angeloni, who then continued – 2 sets ended with the advantage, the third at 29. We knew how difficult Modica was for everyone, but despite this, the boys fell on the pitch well, they immediately set the pace and also accumulated a decent advantage. At the end we then suffered the return of our opponents, also thanks to the court factor, and we probably managed the final part of the set recklessly. A bit like what happened to the third in reverse with the constant of the last points. In the second set we played our best volleyball, leaving very little space for our opponents. In the fourth perhaps we mentally paid for the defeat to the advantages while they galvanized themselves by finding good solutions with Buzzi, Capelli and Barretta.
Next week rest round for Gaia Energy Napoli who will return to the field against Domotek Reggio Calabria on January 19th within the friendly walls of Pala Siani, the support of the public will be fundamental to face a team that is sailing in third place in the Blue group of the Series A3 Credem.
