The CEV Cup Quarter Finals started off well for Trentino Itas who, playing in France against Chaumont VB 52, won 3-1, thus winning the first leg and looking to the return match with the certainty that the Dolomites will only need to win two sets (or the golden set) to advance to the Semifinal. Against the French team, coached by the former Trento coach Silvano Prandi, Fabio Soli’s men took home the match at the end of a comeback, thus finding their second victory in a few days after the home success against Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza in the SuperLega Credem Banca. In France, Michieletto (13 points), Flavio (12 points), Bartha (11 points) but above all Lavia, top scorer of the match with 14 points – the same ones scored by the French Pasteur – and awarded with the title of MVP at the end of the match, performed well. The return match is set for two weeks, with Trento thus trying to gain access to the magnificent four of the competition. This weekend, however, Trento will be on stage in Monza against the owners of Mint Vero Volley: kick-off on Saturday 15 February at 8.30pm, live on Rai Sport.
