“Team of the territory” is a leitmotif repeated as a mantra by the authorities who on Thursday wanted to respond present and participate in day one of the Yuasa Battery in the SuperLega version. The three municipalities mainly involved in the upcoming season were present, namely Grottazzolina, Montegiorgio and Porto San Giorgio, but also the Province and the Region, testifying to the club’s firm desire not to set limits and boundaries, but to embrace and involve as many fans as possible and ensure that the miracle of the smallest village ever to reach the top division of the main sports can truly be put at the service of everyone.

The words of Michele Ortenzi, mayor of Montegiorgio and President of the Province of Fermo: “Last year our friend Alberto accomplished a real feat in bringing the capacity of the PalaGrotta to 1000 seats in the space of a few months, yet this effort was immediately repaid by the club which, in addition to achieving a legendary promotion , this stadium also filled him with support and passion, results that were then decisive. Now the hope is that the Porto San Giorgio Palasport can also fill up, it would really mean having further expanded the boundaries and this could benefit an entire territory”.

Ortenzi’s words hit the mark, and from them Valerio Vesprini, mayor of the coastal center which will host the Yuasa Battery’s internal races in the top series: “This incredible sporting result brings with it two factors: high expectations, but also great gratitude. I still remember when we saw each other for the first time at Nomad last summer, invited by the club together with other mayors with the aim of becoming an expression of the territory. The work done from this point of view is objective, as demonstrated by the presences recorded here in Grottazzolina. I perfectly understand the disappointment of not being able to continue your sporting journey here, but we will be happy to host you in Porto San Giorgio.”
