The Volley Market will be, as is now customary, the first Serie A Volleyball League event of the new season, which this year too will see managers and staff of the Serie A clubs reunited for refresher courses, discussion tables, various insights genre, the awards and the highly anticipated seasonal calendar.
The event is upon us: from Tuesday 16 to Thursday 18 July, the Zanhotel & Meeting Centergross in Bentivoglio (Bologna) will host the 2024/25 edition of the Volley Mercato. The conclusion of the three-day event is set for 2.30pm on Thursday 18th, with one of the most awaited moments of the event: the days of the calendar and all the dates of the events of the next championship will be revealed among guests, artists and awards ceremonies. The curtain will thus be raised on the 80th Serie A Credem Banca championship.
Now a fixed appointment for Serie A volleyball operators, this year’s edition will however be a very special edition for Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina, because for the first time in its more than fifty-year club history the company chaired by Rossano Romiti, new promoted to the Super League, it will experience its baptism among the greats of national volleyball, in the splendid setting of the Super League.
“The Bolognese event has always been one of the most anticipated and important because it brings together all the Serie A clubs – comments president Rossano Romiti -. For Yuasa Battery, today’s edition has a very particular aspect as, in addition to the debut in the Italian top series, we will collect the award for winning the A2 championship, coach Massimiliano Ortenzi will receive recognition as the best A2 coach for 2023 /24 and there will also be an award for the now former opposite Rasmus Breuning Nielsen as best scorer. Many events will take place during the three days in Bologna, we will be present with various corporate figures to follow every phase of the event which is also a moment of training”.
Furthermore, on Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th July, registration windows will also be open: during the volleyball market, in fact, the Fipav membership office will move to Bologna, and although all the teams have now completed their respective rosters, there may also be room for some last market coups.
Obviously, and never like this year, Grottazzolina will respond present, with a representative already ready to go up to Bologna to fully enjoy the baptism among the greats.14
