The Pink Devils secure in place 4, in the Serie A3 Credem Banca championship, the very young born in 2008, born in Palermo, 196 cm tall, Federico Argano, one of the most rising and promising young people on the Italian youth scene.
The spark immediately went off. From the first match during the national youth finals, Argano became the “dot” of the sporting and technical direction of the club and after a year of “courtship” Federico finally arrived at Diavoli Rosa.
He has talent to spare, even if everything still needs to be cultivated, determination on the pitch, combined with a strong leadership nature, which can make Argano, although so young, one of the protagonists of the national youth volleyball scene in the near future.
Already in the youth national team, Federico is now continuing his collegiate career with the under-17 national team led by Luca Leoni, and is fresh from the title of Best Spiker in Italy, a recognition that arrived at the end of the 2024 edition of the Regions Trophy.
He comes from the youth school of the historic Calabrian club Tonno Callipo where in the past season he was the protagonist of the Serie C championship, crowned with “promotion to Serie B.
And now the big leap: Brugherio, Diavoli Rosa, youth championships but above all, under the guidance of coach Danilo Durand, Argano will play the role of spiker in the Serie A3 Credem Banca championship.
Coach Danilo Durand on the arrival of Argano, who strongly wanted him in the Diavoli jersey: “Federico represents one of the greatest talents of the 2008 class in Italy. Last year we already tried to bring him to Brugherio and this year we finally succeeded. He will play in the under 17 and 19 championships, he will work permanently with our A3 Series and I am sure that the path we propose to him will make him grow further by developing all those characteristics that could make him a place 4 of absolute excellence in the Italian panorama. He has the right cock, has excellent attacking shots and has a serve with many variations. We will have to work on the fundamentals of the second line and on its continuity of performance at a high level but I am sure that together we will get great and great satisfaction.”
