At the end of today’s technical session of the Cucine Lube Civitanova, the setter Mattia Boninfante and the center back Davi Tenorio met journalists and fans for the first time in the hospitality of the Eurosuole Forum. Alongside the athletes was also CEO Beppe Cormio, author of the two transfer operations. Sitting in the front row is coach Giampaolo Medei. The delegation of supporters of Lube nel Cuore gave their scarves to the two new red and white favorites.
Beppe Cormio (general manager): “Mattia and Davi are 2004 and 2005, they embody the concept desired and approved by the ownership, that is, a radical rejuvenation. We want to entrust the future of Lube to talented emerging talents. Tenorio was born in Brazil, but has lived in Spain for years and is an athlete of the Spanish federation. This year in Soria Davi arrived in the first team as a starter in the final sprint of the season which ended with a Scudetto final. I know Boninfante’s father Dante better, with his past as a great setter. Among other things, this year he will be our rival at the helm of Taranto and, therefore, he will be Mattia’s opponent. We have also hired an expert player like Santiago Orduna in the control room who will certainly help Boninfante to follow the right tracks.
Giampaolo Medei: (head coach): “The Lube environment is very motivated, from the youngest to the most experienced, but also in terms of staff and managers. Age and athletic freshness will allow Davi and Mattia to improve, but this will also depend on commitment and the spirit of sacrifice. They will know how to fit into the team’s mechanisms. I saw them already determined and I am convinced that they will continue to work hard.
Mattia Boninfante (setter): “The start of the preparation has been very positive and I have already bonded with my teammates; I already knew some of them, but from the beginning there was a feeling with everyone. Let’s immediately aim for cohesion on and off the pitch. A factor that will be useful in facing a beautiful and challenging season in a high-level championship, the best in the world. It will have an effect on me to play for the first time against a former team of mine, Modena, and to challenge a team coached by my father Dante, namely Taranto. Fatherly advice? TO
Davi Tenorio (middle blocker): “I confirm that for me it is a dream come true to be here at Cucine Lube Civitanova. The approach is as I expected, you work hard but with enthusiasm. I was impressed by the speed with which we built a good bond between teammates. I was also struck by the city of Civitanova Marche, very worldly and hospitable.
