The Modican management, in fact, completes its roster by hiring the Italian-Cuban opposite William Padura Diaz after a long negotiation.
An athlete who needs no introduction because since he moved to Italy he has written important pages in all the teams he has played for.
The numbers speak for him: over 6000 points in more than 400 races played.
Born in Havana, Padura Diaz was born in 1986, 200 centimeters tall, who began his career in Cuba Volleyball, where he played from 2004 to 2008. Then he landed in Italy at Edilesse Cavriago, where he made his debut in B1 series obtaining promotion to A2. From 2010 to 2013 he played in Corigliano between B1 and A2, and then moved to Vero Volley Monza where he remained until 2015 playing in A2 and A1. One year at the Qatar Police Team and then the return to Italy at Emma Villas Siena in A2. Until October 2023 he always plays in A2 with Ceramica Scarabeo Roma, Monini Spoleto, Kemas Lamipel Santa Croce, Prisma Taranto, Agnelli Tipiesse Bergamo and Abba Pineto. Then the transfer to Just British Bari in the Blue group of the A3 championship.
In his palmares two victories in the A2 series championship, two Italian Cups and a Super Cup. Now his first time in Sicily with the Avimecc Modica shirt.
