Over the weekend in Florence, the first title of the 2024/25 season of Italian men’s club volleyball will be awarded: the Del Monte® Supercoppa 2024. For the ninth consecutive edition, the competition will feature the four teams that obtained the best placing in the last season, engaged in a Final Four, similar in every way to the one played in winter to win the Italian Cup. Itas Trentino will take the field at Palazzo Wanny in the second semi-final on Saturday 21 September, facing Vero Volley Monza at 6 pm. HERE ITAS TRENTINO After fifty days of pre-season preparation, characterized by four test matches (all won) against top-ranking opponents such as Innsbruck, Piacenza, Modena and Verona, the European Champion team is preparing to take part in the first official match of the new season, an event that immediately offers access to the Final of one of the five competitions in which he will be able to compete over the next eight months.
“Participating in a Super Cup Final Four is never a given even if your name is Trentino Volley – underlined coach Fabio Soli -; it is the result of what you did in the previous season and also for this reason being there represents a merit for the boys who wore the yellow and blue shirt in the previous twelve months. Many of them are still in the squad and will certainly be very motivated to compete in this first act of the new competitive year. We are not reasonably yet in the best conditions, but even in this state we have the will to express ourselves in the best way and to make this imperfection of ours as perfect as possible.
