In view of the imminent start of the new season, Joy Volley Gioia del Colle relies on another certainty: Vincenzo Masi.
After the experience as sporting director gained in the last Serie B championship, the red and white manager will hold a role of great responsibility, that of general manager, dealing with all organizational and management aspects and acting as a trait d’union between the club, the staff and first team.
The awarding of the new role to the engineer from Gioia represents yet another attestation of esteem from the president Gianni D’Elia who, in the last four years, has had the opportunity to appreciate his skills and great professionalism.
After years as assistant coach and scoutman with Real Volley Gioia and New Mater Castellana Grotte (in Serie A2), Masi returns as a manager in Serie A orbit.
Specifically, he appears in the A3 series for the first time, finding himself on the red and white bench with Sandro Passaro, the coach with whom he collaborated in the 2018/2019 football season.
«For me it is a source of pride to continue being part of this company – the first words of the new general manager of Joy Volley -. I thank the president Gianni D’Elia for the trust placed in me. This new role intrigues me a lot. I will give my best to live up to the responsibilities entrusted to me in managing the various work groups, which are expressions of great experience and professionalism – he specifies -. There is little to hide about seasonal goals. The team was built to be at the top of the Blue group. To get to the bottom of every competition, however, you will need a hunger for victories and a lot of determination in every race. I have so much faith in these athletes, who are all great professionals, and in the coach Sandro Passaro who, in recent years, has had exponential growth as a coach-manager – he concludes -. The conditions for doing well are all there. We must believe in it from the first day of preparation. Our hope is to give great satisfaction to our fans who, finally, this year will return to breathe the magical atmosphere of Serie A.”
