Short week for Rana Verona, who will take to the court again on Saturday evening at 8.30pm for the second match of the return round of the Regular Season, this time on the Cisterna Volley court. A few days before the match on Pontine soil, Coach Stoytchev spoke at the press conference and presented the match.
These are his words: “Cisterna is a team that has a good reception which allows Baranowicz to distribute well in the flank and in the centre, with positive percentages in ball exchange, with few errors in service and players who are good at blocking like Nedeljkovic and Ramon . The two spikers play a fast ball, as does the opposite Faure. In counterattacking they have lower percentages, but when they play well they know how to put you in difficulty. We will have to interpret our volleyball very well to keep them away from the net so that the setter doesn’t have easy balls to handle.”
On Dzavoronok’s injury he said: “For now the roster remains unchanged. Unfortunately for Donovan the season is over, we wish him a good surgery and a speedy recovery, so that he can return to playing at a high level as soon as possible. The whole team, the club and the staff are with him. Our physiotherapy manager will also be there during the surgery. We will give him our support so as not to leave him alone in this difficult moment.”
