Game 2 of the Final for 3rd place Play Off Scudetto Credem Banca 2024 will be played on Saturday 20 April at the Allianz Cloud (formerly PalaLido) in Milan. Itas Trentino will visit Allianz Milano, finding themselves ahead 1-0 in the series which is divided into the best of five matches and which awards qualification to the 2025 CEV Champions League to the winner. Kick-off scheduled for 8.30 pm: live Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on the OTT platform VBTV.
HERE ITAS TRENTINO After the precious comeback victory in game 1, the outgoing Italian Champion team moves again to Lombardy to try to concede an encore, in order to take the double advantage and look to the second part of the series with greater possibilities of final success.
“The success achieved on Wednesday evening was very important, because it was preparatory to turning the page after the elimination from the race for the Scudetto in game 5 of the semi-final – explained coach Fabio Soli during the presentation of the event -. We managed to go further, we did it through suffering, not always playing good volleyball but putting everything we had on the pitch and this makes me proud of my team and also confident towards game 2, which will certainly be another battle sport, of which we want to be protagonists”.
The Trentino team will complete their preparation for the appointment with this afternoon’s training at the IlT Daily Arena and with Saturday morning’s training on the playing field, where they will still be without Lavia (low-grade injury to the rectus abdominis suffered the following day of the conclusion of the Play Off Semifinal with Monza). It will be match number 1,041 in the men’s history of Trentino Volley, the 45th of the season (34 victories and 10 defeats), the 562nd ever away from home where only 215 cases have resulted in defeat.
THE OPPONENTS Allianz Milano is ready to host Itas Trentino for the second time this season with the aim of winning the match in order to be able to play a further match (in that case the last) in front of its own fans. The defeat at the tie break on Wednesday evening at the IL Daily Arena will in fact force the team coached by Roberto Piazza to have to win at least one between game 2 and game 3 to continue to fuel their hopes of qualifying for the CEV Champions League, a tournament in which they have never first took part in ten years of activity. Matey Kaziyski, the great ex, is the only one in doubt for this appointment, having suffered a calf muscle injury in the last training session before his debut in the series.
