The Adige derby in the Del Monte®Coppa Italia version once again rewards Itas Trentino, giving the Italian Champions the pass for the fifteenth consecutive Final Four of the competition. The yellow-blues thus gain qualification for the 27-28 January event in Bologna thanks to the round success against Verona. In the first two sets, the Scaligeri team could offer little resistance, overwhelmed by the shock wave proposed by the hosts who, with service, defense and counterattack, put their opponents on the ropes without letting them respond. The third set was fought for a long time, but even in that case the difference in the final came from the greater incisiveness in the break point phase of the Italian team, led to a narrow victory by a great Michieletto (MVP and best scorer with 16 points), well supported from the rest of the team, who all appeared at excellent levels. For Verona, at their first defeat after four victories in a row, the appointment with the Final Four has been postponed once again.
MVP: Alessandro Michieletto (Itas Trentino)

The defending champions of Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza will not be able to defend the Del Monte ® Coppa Italia SuperLega won last season. In the quarter-finals, after more than two hours of play, Allianz Milano celebrates at the PalabancaSport. The Milanese will be present in Bologna on 27 and 28 January. Piacenza in comeback takes the match to the tie break and is good at canceling two match balls in Milan, but then fails to take advantage of the six match balls available and on the third occasion, with two blocks, it is the Milanese who take home the match and qualification for F4. Difficult evening for some red and white, coach Anastasi looks for solutions from the bench and stimulates his team, but the performance on the pitch is too fluctuating on the red and white front. What betrays the Emilians are the difficulties in blocking, but also the errors in attack and serving. Lucarelli’s 23 points are not enough to prevail.
MVP: Paolo Porro (Allianz Milano)
