After the great disappointment with how Sunday evening’s match evolved, playing head to head with a team like Lube set up for very different objectives, but which only managed to snatch the match with a 28-30 advantage in the fourth set, with so much nervousness and complicated situations, Gioiella Prisma will have to make a clean sweep of negative emotions and start again from the concreteness, strength and compactness demonstrated on the pitch, repeating it in the same way at the PalaPanini tomorrow evening at 8.30pm against Valsa Group Modena.
The Emilian team went through a long, very complicated and difficult period peppered with many defeats before the change of coach with Giuliani who took over Petrella, and only achieved victory in the last round against direct competitor Cisterna in eighth place, last position useful for the playoffs.
The team now coached by coach Giuliani won the first leg at PalaMazzola 3-2, and on that occasion Davyskiba and Sapozhkov gave an excellent performance.
In the last match the Modena team won 3-0 against Cisterna, with the starting line-up made up of Bruno-Davyskiba in the main diagonal, Rinaldi-Juantorena in the flank, Brehme-Sanguinetti in the center and Gollini libero.
The General Director Vito Primavera expresses himself like this: “At PalaPanini they are waiting for us with a knife between their teeth. They changed coach two weeks before we met them, and now they are very motivated to maintain the play off position in order to redeem a season that had not gone well so far, because the team had other objectives. I appeal to the boys to show up strong in Modena and even more enthusiastic after Sunday’s match in which they demonstrated that they can compete with anyone. It won’t be a simple challenge like the others that await us will be, it’s good to be aware of that.”
