Italy Under 18 continues to win at the European Championships, finding their seventh consecutive success in as many matches against the Czech Republic. The team led by coach Monica Cresta will face Poland in the semi-final on Saturday at 5.30pm. Among the protagonists of the beautiful Italian victory there is also the Cisterna Volley center Jacopo Tosti. The Roman athlete, born in 2008, scored 7 points, making an important contribution to the final 3-0 (fifth match without conceding a set to his opponents).

“Jacopo grew up in Marino Volleyball from a very young age – says the head of the youth sector of Cisterna Volley Francesco Ronsini – Then following his sporting path in Cisterna Volleyball, given the symbiotic work between these two realities. Tosti has already undertaken a path of the highest level since last year. Last season he was included in the Super League roster, this year he will start in all respects as a fourth central defender in the top flight, as well as playing in Serie B and in our youth teams. Among his greatest qualities stands out his sense of work, which leads him to always want to improve himself day after day. The experience with the national team is certainly very positive. This summer he has already done a month of collegiate training, taking part in the Under 18 European Championships. Subsequently he will start again with another collegiate team together with the Under 17s, where he will take part in the category World Championships. (from 24 to 31 August in Bulgaria ed.). Unlike many others, he is experiencing a very important experience, which is helping him in his growth journey. When he comes back to us we will have a more aware and improved boy from every point of view.”
