The summer transfer phase of the players ends this afternoon, with Emma Villas Siena having already completed all its operations. The volleyball market days are underway, with the event scheduled at the Zanhotel & Meeting Centergross in Bentivoglio, not far from Bologna, and which involves managers of the Superlega, Serie A2 and Serie A3 volleyball teams.

However, this year the Sienese club has moved well in advance with regards to the market, both in relation to confirmations, starting with the setter Thomas Nevot, and in terms of new purchases, starting with the opposite player Gabriele Nelli. The team is done, ready and finalized, with the latest official signing being the 29-year-old Brazilian spiker Alan Patrick Araujo. There will therefore be no “last minute” operations for the Sienese company, unlike what had happened in some circumstances in the past.

In Bentivoglio there are days of meetings, discussions and insights into the world of volleyball. There are various meetings and workshops scheduled. Emma Villas Siena is today represented by the vice president of the club Fabio Mechini and by the marketing and commercial director Vittorio Angelaccio. Tomorrow, however, will be the long-awaited day of the presentation of the calendars, a moment in which the seasonal commitments of the white and blue club will be revealed. The calendar presentation event will start tomorrow at 2.30 pm hosted by Rai journalist Maurizio Colantoni.

Siena is therefore waiting to know who will be its first opponent in the championship and then gradually the chronology of the various challenges, day after day, of the season. The club’s goal is to be able to experience another beautiful and fun season, after having managed to reach the playoff final of the A2 series championship it has just experienced. The 2023-2024 season officially ends with the Centergross event and the new sporting year begins at the same time. It is still early, however, for the start of physical preparation in view of the next A2 series tournament. The Sienese team will meet again in the second half of August and then begin training.
