Individual award for Andrea Malavasi, named best striker of the competition.
“We knew that it would be a very difficult tournament – declares coach Andrea Asta -, given that the twelve best teams in Italy were facing each other. We wanted to play every match like a final, regardless of the value of the opponents. From this point of view the boys were very good, we can be proud of what they did because in moments of difficulty the team always reacted and looked for solutions without ever giving up. I am very proud and happy, many compliments to the boys and the staff for the work done throughout the entire season. We have improved a lot, it was a season full of ups and downs and there is happiness with how it went.”
“I am very happy and proud of the path taken by the boys – says Fabio Donadio, head of the Modena Volley Youth Sector -, each of them has given their contribution. We overcame numerous difficulties, it was a tough season for everyone but with a lot of work we managed to achieve a great result. I congratulate the team, Malavasi who was awarded as best striker, Andrea Asta who was good at managing every type of situation and the entire technical staff, without forgetting the physio and medical department always available, the athletic trainer Giuseppe Brogneri, as well at the “Dir” Roberto Santini and Massimo Bedini who took care of the organizational aspect. It’s a result for everyone, it’s the classic icing on the cake to conclude this journey in the best possible way.”
