Today Emma Villas Siena gathered in Cascia on the first day of training of the new sports season. The long-awaited day has therefore arrived. The Tuscan team will have a mini-meeting in the Umbrian town until Sunday. Today the team found itself under the orders of coach Gianluca Graziosi, carried out the first physical tests and immediately also did ball and technique exercises. The work then immediately got underway.

These first days of work and training in Cascia will also be useful for training the group, also made up of many new players who were signed by Emma Villas Siena during the summer transfer market. Coach Giancluca Graziosi and the volleyball players remaining from last season (Federico Bonami, Thomas Nevot, Stefano Trillini, Martin Coser, Federico Pellegrini) welcomed all the new arrivals. Let’s begin, then; the first day of the championship will be scheduled for Sunday 6 October, on that day Emma Villas Siena will take on Aversa at home.

“We have finally started the work – these are the words of the coach of Emma Villas Siena, Gianluca Graziosi. – We have rested enough. The sensations are positive, the location in Cascia is excellent, staying here will help us form a group and work as a team. I see the boys very motivated at the start of this new season. We need to regain contact with the ball, reactivate ourselves, we will immediately do good physical work which is fundamental at this stage of the season. This initial phase will also be very important to talk, to get to know each other.”

Coach Gianluca Graziosi continues: “The two most important things are working as a team and therefore being willing to help each other, especially in difficulties – says the coach of Emma Villas Siena. – The second important aspect will be to have fun playing volleyball, every day in training and then in the match. We must have the pleasure and taste of playing excellent volleyball. Then the qualities are there and therefore I believe that everything will come naturally. The values ​​of this team are important, now it’s up to us to work to do the best we can.”

The Sienese team will continue training tomorrow morning, with other physical tests and technical work sessions. Work will continue in Cascia until Sunday, the team will begin training in Siena from Monday 26 August. After the Serie A2 playoff final achieved in the last championship, the club’s objective is to experience another beautiful and important sporting season.
