With the victory of the Italian national team against the Netherlands (3-0 in Ottawa), Week 2 of the Volleyball Nations League 2024 ended, which so far is bringing smiles to the Italian team in view of the Paris Olympics this summer. The Azzurri, in light of the other matches played, remain firmly in second position in the ranking behind Poland. They are 118.66 points ahead of Cuba, who at the moment would be the first team not qualified for the Olympics.

This week, which saw Italy as the protagonist in Canada, saw the Italian successes against the United States, Cuba and the Netherlands, to which is added the defeat in the tie-break against France.

In Week 3, in Ljubljana (Slovenia), Italy will take to the field from Wednesday 19 June to face, in order, Poland, Bulgaria, Slovenia and finally Turkey.
