Delta Group will therefore be Emma Villas Siena’s opponent in the semi-final. Porto Viro won game 3 in Cuneo last night and therefore achieved the pass at the end of a truly well played match: 18 points went to Tommaso Barotto, who finished the match with 71% in attack, and 10 to Happy Seven. The Delta Group ended the match with 62% in attack, achieved the beauty of 7 winning blocks in three sets and received with 60% positive and 38% perfect. A test of absolute substance and total concreteness.
The picture of the semi-finals has thus been completed: Grottazzolina, who won the regular season and therefore “skipped” the quarter-final round, will face Ravenna who got the better of Prata di Pordenone. Emma Villas Siena, who reached the semi-finals in two games by winning their two quarter-final games against Brescia, will challenge Porto Viro.
The first match of the semi-final series will be played on Thursday at 8.30 pm at PalaEstra. Tickets are already on sale online on the CiaoTickets circuit. The ticket office in Viale Sclavo will be open tomorrow from 5pm to 8pm and will also be open on Thursday, the day of the match, from 5pm onwards. The full ticket will cost 16 euros, the reduced one 10 euros.
Game 2 of the series will instead be in Porto Viro: it will be played on Sunday from 7pm. The team that wins two matches of the series will qualify for the final. The possible race 3 will be in Siena on Wednesday 17 April: the start at PalaEstra at 8.30 pm.
The Sienese team also carried out its training session today at PalaEstra in view of the match on Thursday evening. “We are working and preparing well for this appointment – declares the spiker of Emma Villas Siena, Marco Pierotti. – We are happy with how we have arrived at this moment and we are excited for the decisive moment of the season. Porto Viro offered excellent performances, I know that reality since I played in that team. They also played really well in game 3 of the quarter-final series against Cuneo, I’m not surprised by their performance because I know the players on the Delta Group roster well. These are elements that have demonstrated their value for many years. Porto Viro has many highly experienced players on its roster.”
Marco Pierotti continues: “Teams who are doing well and who are playing very good volleyball have reached the semifinals of the playoffs.
