Second outing for Sieco Akea Ortona who, after giving excellent signals despite the defeat against the Pineta cousins of A2, grinds out kilometers for joint training with one of the most popular teams for the category jump: the JV Gioia Del Colle.
The boys of the JV came out on top with Sieco Akea finding the set of the flag only in the extra quarter, after the joint training had ended at 3-0 for the Apulians. Well, actually very well Vaskelis who scored 22 points with a 68% positivity rate. The best for Ortona is instead Rossato who scores 15 points. Nine aces for Gioia del Colle, four for Sieco Akea who however makes fewer mistakes from nine meters. 18 errors by the JV, 14 by the fearless. The hosts were also better for the Aces: 15 against the 10 scored by Coach Denora’s boys. Ultimately, if it is true that the team is still without victories, although in unofficial matches Sieco Akea Ortona has demonstrated that it can keep up with teams of undoubted value and that the potential of the group is undoubted. The next joint training session is scheduled for Saturday 21 September but be careful, not at the Ortona sports hall. Sieco will play joint training with Materdomini Castellana Grotte at Pala-Masciangelo in Lanciano, with warm-up starting at 5.45pm. Sieco Akea will therefore be a guest of All Stars Volley Lanciano which is celebrating the restyling of the structure. It will be an opportunity not only to test important technical questions, but also to win the affection and enthusiasm of the nearby city of Frenta.
