With the tournament dedicated to Giacomo Cabras, which took place over the last weekend in Sant’Antioco, the pre-season friendlies phase of Marco Camperi’s Gialloblu came to an end.
The last round of matches saw a 3-0 defeat against Negrini Acqui Terme, a very high-level roster that seemed already ready for excellent quality performances despite only being in the first two months of work in the gym, against which the new Sarlux Sarroch has shown signs of growth and underlined the aspects to insist on in the gym. The second match against Cus Cagliari saw a tie break victory for the rossoblu, who were very solid in the starting six that worked well with both setters.
For Sarlux Sarroch the daily work in the gym continues in view of the home debut in the championship on Saturday 19 October at 7pm against Cus Cagliari.
“I am satisfied with the commitment, enthusiasm and dedication that this group is showing every day. The team comes from six weeks of double sessions, with consequent physical and mental fatigue, I’m not surprised to find it a work in progress”, these are the feelings of the director Lai. “The difficulties are physiological at this moment, they will also be so during the championship, we must get used to facing them as a team, to be patient and keep in mind that the work will bear fruit. Everything right away is not realistic either in sport or in life outside the gym.”
