Volley Savigliano is pleased to announce the latest addition in view of the 2024/25 Serie A3 Credem Banca sports season. In fact, next year, Mauro Sacripanti will wear the white and blue shirt.
Born in 1998, from Rome, Mauro is a spiker who, despite his relatively young age, already boasts great experience. Raised in the youth team of the capital team, he made his debut among the “grown-ups” in Serie C way back in 2012/13, with the Lazio shirt.
From there, a real climb: after also making his debut in Serie B2 with the Lazio club, he moved to Segrate, in B1, a prelude to the jump to Serie A2 in Civita Castellana from 2015, when he was teammate (and room) by Andrea Galaverna. Then, the return to Rome, Anguillara (in Serie B) and the last four years in Serie A3, with the shirts of Aversa (from 2020 to 2022), Tuscania and Bologna. In the four years in the third national series he scored 1144 points, 295 of which in 2023/24 in Emilia.
His list of achievements includes the Serie A2 Italian Cup, won with Civita Castellana in 2018, as well as a regular season victory in Serie A3 with Aversa and a third place in the Serie A3 Italian Cup with Tuscania.
Now, the landing in Savigliano, already faced last season: “As an opponent last year I encountered a lot of professionalism and an environment that I really liked. Then, I had the opportunity to speak with the managers and coach Bulleri and I had wonderful impressions. Precisely for this reason, it was an immediate yes. I want to challenge myself again in the Northern group, perhaps trying to compete in a better ranking area than last year. I expect to have a lot of fun, because I know a lot of the guys on the roster and I also meet up with my old friend “Gala”. I still have a lot to learn, despite having already lived in these categories for a few years. I want to grow further and I know that in this group I can do it. We will also have some “less young” players, who will certainly give us a hand. I can’t wait for September to join the group and start working” – his first words.
