There is just over a month left until the start of the A3 men’s volleyball championship. Plus Volleyball Sabaudia will begin the season with the away match on 13 October in Ortona, at the Sieco Service, while the home debut is scheduled for Sunday 20 October with Gala Energy Napoli in the match scheduled at PalaVitaletti. The team trained by coach Nello Mosca is continuing with physical preparation and, in the run-up to the first official match, also has a series of test matches planned.
“These appointments will give the team and the coach the opportunity to test the pace of the match and gradually enter the championship atmosphere which will begin in about a month – declares Paolo Torre, sporting director of Plus Volleyball Sabaudia – we are convinced that these tests will be useful to the coach and to the technical staff but also to the boys. As for the home events at the Sabaudia arena, I hope that the public can attend to begin to become passionate about the renewed team and make the boys feel their warmth.”
The sports hall in via Conte Verde in Sabaudia will host the first of these joint training sessions: on Saturday 14 September, at 6.00 pm, the Pontine team will be on the pitch against Virtus Roma, on Thursday 19 September (at 8.30 pm) Samuel Onwuelo and his teammates will move to Genzano for the second pre-season test while on the following Saturday (21 September) Genzano will return the visit with the test at 6.00 pm.
The last three matches of the pre-season will be scheduled respectively for Saturday 28 September in Campobasso, Wednesday 2 October at 8.30 pm in Rome against Virtus Roma and then close on Saturday 5 October at 6.00 pm against Campobasso in Sabaudia.
