On Sunday 1 December the athlete Roberto Russo suffered an injury when he fell from the block during the second set of the Mint Vero Volley Monza – Sir Susa Vim Perugia match.
The player suffered a sprained injury to his left ankle.
For this reason the centre-back had to leave the team group, headed to Ankara for the Champions League match, and returned to Perugia to immediately undergo tests.
Today the medical staff worked with instrumental tests and clinical evaluations which averted major damage.
The appropriate treatment was undertaken promptly: specific therapy and treatments are planned and, in the next few days, the picture will be updated.
