After the meeting on Thursday 22nd August for the initial greetings and the day of tests and first steps in the weight room on Friday 23rd, under the supervision of the athletic trainer Andrea Delvecchio and his staff composed of Davide Negrini and Francesco Bielli, the new season of the Pink Devils, the sixth presence in the Serie A3 Credem Banca Championship.
This road to October 20th, the day of the championship debut in the derby against Mantua, will be divided over the next few weeks between technical sessions with the ball and work in the weight room, with greater focus at this start of the season on physical preparation.
For coach Durand’s boys, the week began at the Dream Village Center in Stezzano, which will host the preparation of the Serie A3 group as well as the under 17 and under 19 groups, where coach Durand’s boys will work on the sand, activities that it will then be integrated with sessions in the pool at the Aquamore Spa Wellness and Beauty Tech centre.
The first impressions of the athletic trainer Andrea Delvecchio: “A start to the season on the wings of enthusiasm with all the boys happy to start again. Ours is certainly a very young group but I immediately noticed a desire to work as well as a serious approach to work, even among the youngest. The first two days of activity focused on tests to evaluate the current conditions of the kids and then started immediately with physical work. At the moment the objective is to condition and structure the athletes in the best possible way in view of the following pre-season period, where we will work on strength and power, and in the next two weeks we will take advantage of the sand and swimming pool to speed up some situations.”
To the question “What objectives does this very young Serie A3 have?”, Delvecchio replies: “The objective is to carry forward the work started 1-2 years ago with some boys, to improve and structure the boys to make them become stronger while at as a team will be to perform in the best possible way by being ready for kick-off. I would like the kids to fully understand how lucky they are to work, so young, in this way and in this context of the highest level, two conditions which, if exploited to the fullest, inevitably lead to exponential growth”.
