Everyone in their seats, race 2 is on!
Second episode of the championship final series between Sir Susa Vim Perugia and Mint Vero Volley Monza. Bianconeri ahead 1-0 in the series thanks to the success in game 1 last Thursday at the PalaBarton, kick-off at the Opiquad Arena in Monza tomorrow afternoon at 3.15pm with live TV on Raisport ch. 58 and live streaming on the VBTV web platform.
Block Devils left this morning from Perugia towards Monza, in the afternoon training in the playing facility with the latest tactical assessments in view of the match.
The kids won’t be alone at Opiquad Arena. A large group of Juventus fans is leaving for Monza tomorrow morning, ready to be close to the team as always.
“In game 1 we played quite well” – says Kamil Semeniuk before leaving for Monza – “but there is definitely something to improve. In Monza tomorrow it will be another match and it will be very difficult. We have already played against them several times this season, we know each other and I don’t think that tactically there will be many differences compared to previous matches. We will have to be ready and of course we will do everything to win the match.”
Lorenzetti and his staff carefully studied game 1 to look for improvements on the game situations that revealed some difficulties and to look for the best countermeasures against the opponent. The Juventus coach is moving towards confirming the usual formation with Giannelli as director, Ben Tara as diagonal, Russo and Flavio as a central pair, Plotnytskyi and Semeniuk as receivers and Colaci as libero.
However, it remains to be seen what Eccheli, the coach from Brianza, will decide. In game 1 Monza started with the three spiker formation and then switched during the match to the classic opposite role with the excellent Szwarc seen in Perugia. It is difficult to make assessments from the outside, the continuity of play shown in the semi-final series with Trento could in the end initially lead one to lean towards the first option, therefore with Chachopa as director and Loeppky diagonally, Galassi and Di Martino at the center of the net, Takahashi and Maar hammers in place four and Gaggini directing the second line.
