Ravenna back to work

The 2024/25 sports season of Consar Ravenna officially kicks off on Monday 19 August. The team will meet in the morning, followed by medical visits. In the afternoon, at the Il Molinetto Restaurant, hosted by one of its partners, the company will present the first team and the objectives of the new year. The weight work on the morning of Tuesday 20th will be the first effort in the gym, while the afternoon training will allow the players to regain confidence with the ball.
Only Hampus Ekstrand and Manuel Zlatanov will be missing from the meeting on the 19th, busy with their respective national teams. A few days later Giacomo Selleri will leave the group to join the Under 20 national team with which he will play the European Championships in the category, scheduled from 26 August to 7 September in Vrnjačka Banja (Serbia) and Arta (Greece).
“In the first days of preparation, to make up for these absences we will integrate the staff with some boys from our youth sector – coach Valentini anticipates – and from Tuesday we will enter the gym alternating physical work and weights with sessions in the pool and a technical recovery . Between now and the start of the championship, six full weeks of preparation await us, necessary to get to know each other, to understand the work systems, to map out the path to follow during the season.”
The first two joint training sessions have also been defined, with the double meeting with the Delta Group Porto Viro, on 14 September in Veneto and the following Saturday in Ravenna.
The confirmed assistant Saverio Di Lascio will work with coach Antonio Valentini, currently engaged as a scoutman in the long training camp of the Under 17s for the category World Championships, scheduled from 24 to 31 August in Bulgaria, and the new third coach Giorgio Zauli, beacher and beach volleyball instructor from Powerbeach.
Francesco Mollo leaves the technical staff of the first team, but remains in the ranks of the club as coordinator of the youth sector, who is preparing to follow the volleyball camp that the club has organized in Tredozio from 25 to 31 August, reserved for athletes and athletes from 2008 to 2014, and then he will take care of the Serie C team, the Under 19 group and the Under 15 Excellence team.
