Filippo Pugnalini confirms his loyalty to the yellow and blue colors for the third consecutive year and… doubles. In fact, in addition to wearing the usual role of Scoutman, from this year he will sit on the bench as assistant to Coach Mario Di Pietro. A nice injection of confidence for the twenty-six year old originally from Sarteano, in the province of Siena, who in past seasons has been a valuable member of the technical staff, proving to be a hard worker.

“I thank the club for the trust it has shown in me – says a smiling Pugnalini – from a personal point of view I hope to be able to continue my path of growth and professional training both as a scoutman and from a technical point of view. As far as the team is concerned, it would be very nice to be able to repeat what we did this year, even if I am aware that the championship will be very difficult because many teams have strengthened and the technical level has certainly grown.”

How did you experience last season and what is your budget?

“It was exciting because there were results that made us rejoice and others that left a bad taste in our mouths. But we have certainly grown and improved, managing to face both the happy and darkest moments together. The memory and example of a group that participated in an important step for society will remain. Because, let’s not forget that, for example, the first historic victory in the Play Offs has arrived and we have to start again from here. Even on a personal level, I can only say I am satisfied and I can’t wait to start again”

After two years with Dante Boninfante at the helm, the coach changes. Can you tell us what your relationship was with Dante and Samuele?

“I can only thank Dante and Samuele who have helped me a lot in these two years to grow, as have Andrea Brusadin and Andrea Zampis. With Dante and Samuele we spent a lot of time in close contact in the gym and I lived, also through anecdotes, what their volleyball experience had been with two great champions like them, getting to know them not only from a sporting side, but also from a human and personal one. A friendship that I hope can continue over time.”
