Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza is from today in Florence where the Final Four of the Del Monte® Supercoppa 2024 organized by the Serie A Volleyball League in collaboration with the FIPAV Tuscany Regional Committee and the FIPAV Florence Territorial Committee and with the patronage of the Region is scheduled from tomorrow Tuscany and the Municipality of Florence.
The red and whites will be involved tomorrow, Saturday 21 September, at the Pala Wanny starting at 3.30 pm (live on Rai Sport, VBTV live streaming) in the first Semi-final of the event: their opponent is Sir Susa Vim Perugia who last season amassed many trophies and cups . The team led by Angelo Lorenzetti was in fact successful, winning the Scudetto, the Del Monte® Italian Cup and also the Super Cup, completing a year to remember with the conquest of the Club World Cup.
It is the first time that the two teams have faced each other in the Del Monte® Super Cup.
The second Final Four of the Del Monte® Supercoppa SuperLega for President Elisabetta Curti’s club will be in Florence.
Andrea Anastasi is in his fourth participation in the Del Monte® Supercoppa, and for the third year he will be taking part in the final act of the event. The first time was the final played on 12 October 2004 and lost against Brebanca Lannutti Cuneo, the second two seasons ago and won at the helm of Perugia, the last participation dates back to November last year at the helm of Piacenza with defeat in the semi-final against Civitanova .
Among the Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza players, Fabio Ricci has won the trophy three times (2017, 2019 and 2020).
Bluenergy Piacenza reached the Final Four Gas Sales thanks to third place in the standings at the end of last season’s Regular Season.
